Nurses Week is celebrated in the US every year from May 6-12. Worldwide, the celebration varies but is sometime during those dates. May 6 is Nurses Day, and May 12 is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. The Year of the Nurse and Midwife was set for 2020 in honor of the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. However, we all know how 2020 went! The American Nurses Association extended the Year of the Nurse and Midwife to 2021. Things are improving, but we’re not out of the woods yet from the COVID-19 pandemic. None the less we need to Celebrate Nursing! And take time for Self Care!…

Fire Department Coffee is Delicious
I recently received some terrific coffee to review. I got two bean samples, the Original Medium Roast coffee and the Vanilla Bean Bourbon infused coffee from the Fire Department Coffee Company. This company was founded and owned by a Veteran turned firefighter and is run by firefighters. In fact they give back by donating 10% of the proceeds to their Foundation to help support first responders who have been injured (physically or mentally) or are facing serious health challenges.
