May 6-12 each year is National Nurses Week. This year (2019) it begins on a Monday and ends on Sunday. The American Nurses Association theme is 4 Million Reasons to Celebrate. 
Learn more about Nurses Week and ways to make your celebration special. If your facility or agency is not planning anything special, it’s not to late to get started. Involve local media and write letters or editorials to your local paper. Invite your City Council to make a proclamation or recognition of the nurses in your community.
